Buffalo Journeys Mayan Heartland Guatemala Sacred Heart Quirigua Adv

This is a great photo of our beloved Buffalo Tribe on Day 3 of our ‘Mayan Heartland Journey’. Here we are siting in the shape of a heart on the Mayan footsteps of ‘Quirigua‘ Temples near Rio Dulce in Guatemala. Behind the camera and in front of us is a massive sacred courtyard full of Ceiba Trees and the tallest stone monuments ever erected in the ‘New World’. Pretty special day. For many this was the first Mayan Temple they had ever seen.

“The site’s importance lies in its wealth of sculpture, including the tallest stone monuments ever erected in the New World.” Wikipedia

  1. In truth, it is the heart of all the sacred souls sitting on those steps that inspire us most!
